Micaela Mastropasqua was born in 1992 in Argentina. She trained at the Manuel Belgrano School of Fine Arts in Buenos Aires and then specialized in ceramics at the School of Art and Ceramics of Valencia, Spain.

She currently lives in Venice where she runs her workshop “La Ciotola” in addition to developing her personal work. As a teacher and workshop leader, she accompanies her students in learning different techniques and exploring ceramics.

“Beyond my academic training, my technique is mainly exploration. My free and somewhat wandering nature has always influenced my creative path. However, I have always admired the initiation techniques of ceramics.

My pieces reflect everything that inspires and excites me: poetry, a dried flower between the pages of a book, the pattern of an outfit that strikes me, romance and beauty, which I sometimes ironize or question."
